Taylor Swift’s dominance on the Billboard charts is clear to see this week, as her album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and the songs featured on it appear almost everywhere. But she has more going on than just that one blockbuster, and one of her older (but still current) hits helps her make history.
Swift’s latest single “Cruel Summer” is rapidly making its way up the Pop Airplay chart. The song reaches a special position this frame, climbing from No. 14 to No. 8 in just its fifth week on the chart. The tune’s quick ascent is noteworthy, as often it takes songs much longer to reach the top 10—especially those that have been around for a while.
