HSBC Holdings GAAP EPS of $0.86, revenue of $36.9B; sees 147% rise in pre-tax profit

I will never ever ever never understand the reaction of stocks to earnings…..This appears to be as complete a beat as one could ever want, huge rise in revenue 2bn buyback they say will be completed within 3 months, not just authorized to languish unused, they have offered to come detail every shareholders car and mop your floors for you weekly and yet the reaction is meh.
