A European commissioner has given Elon Musk, the owner of the X social media platform, a 24-hour ultimatum to confront misinformation on the platform concerning the Israel-Hamas war, citing a potential breach of EU law.

European Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton warned misinformation flooding the platform could be in violation of the bloc’s Digital Services Act amid recent changes from the platform allowing sensitive and grap
