After long and protracted negotiations between DAZN and Sky, Serie A has finally relented and agreed to a $954m-per-season (€900m) TV deal that sees the Italian game remain on the two broadcasters for the next five years.
Discussions between the three parties dragged on for months — most of the year in fact — and an announcement from Lega Serie A over the consigning of the domestic TV rights had to be pushed back several times due to the lack of reasonable offers on the table from both DAZN and Sky.
