Amid all the intrigue of the 2023 NCAA Tournament getting down to the Final Four – and in particular a Final Four line-up of San Diego State, Florida Atlantic, UConn and Miami that literally no one predicted – Detroit Mercy fifth-year senior Antoine Davis this week did more Antoine Davissy things.
Fresh off of leading the nation by quite some distance with a 28.2 points per game scoring average, Davis went to the 2023 College Three-Point Shootout – and won. (The men’s portion, at least; he subsequently lost in an extra round showdown against the champion of the women’s portion, Iowa’s Kate Mager.)
