Disney chief executive Bob Iger struck back at Florida governor Ron DeSantis on Monday, calling his efforts to rein in the company’s power “anti-business and anti-Florida”.
Iger’s comments on the fallout from last year’s “Don’t Say Gay” controversy came as DeSantis called for a state investigation into last-minute moves by outgoing Disney-appointed board members to neuter the power of a new board consisting entirely of the Florida governor’s appointees.
