Welsh captain Sophie Ingle is set to equal the all-time appearance record in the Women’s Super League (WSL) this weekend despite not playing in the first-ever season of the competition.
If she plays any part of tomorrow’s league game away to Aston Villa, Ingle will appear in the WSL for the 183rd time matching the record set at the end of last season by Tottenham Hotspur’s Kerys Harrop, who retired from the professional game over the summer.
