-appointed inspectors have concluded that FC Barcelona should be banned from the Champions League next season for their role in the ‘Caso Negreira’ referee payments scandal according to ABC.

The Barcelona provincial prosecutor’s office charged the Catalans with “continued corruption between individuals in the sports field” in March once it was revealed they made payments to the Technical Committee of Referees’ Ex-Vice President, Jose Maria Enrique Negreira.
