After a heartbreaking campaign last time, where the team lost all their group games, South Korea are eager to perform better at this year’s Women’s World Cup and reach the round of 16, their all-time leading scorer Ji So-yun says.
South Korea have played at three World Cups, reaching the round of 16 in 2015 in Canada, which was their best performance. They were knocked out in the group stage in their debut appearance in 2003 and in 2019, suffered a humiliating run losing all games while scoring just once.
