It’s boom times for pretty much every business in artificial intelligence or chips — but not for British firm Graphcore.
Graphcore, which CEO Nigel Toon recently billed to Insider as a viable alternative to market leader Nvidia, saw office closures and layoffs, steeper losses, and a near-halving of revenue in 2022. The startup also warned it will need more cash by mid-2024 to survive.
