The current consensus among leading market strategists and Federal Reserve officials is that a recession is increasingly unlikely. But a handful of dissenters are still denying that upbeat thesis.
“What’s happened in the past several months is that everybody and their mother has thrown in the towel on the recession call and embraced the soft landing narrative,” said David Rosenberg, the founder and chief economist at Rosenberg Research, in a recent interview with Insider.
