South Korea’s Kospi index rose 1.1 per cent, buoyed by gains in Samsung after Nvidia said it was working to certify the company’s high bandwidth memory chips.
The country’s currency rose 0.4 per cent against the dollar to Won1,368.20, making it the strongest-performing in Asia during early trading.
