Tucker Carlson is leaving Fox News, marking a big shake up for Rupert Murdoch’s television network just days after it agreed to settle a defamation lawsuit over accusations it aired false theories about US election fraud.
The two sides “have agreed to part ways”, Fox said in a brief statement on Monday. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor”. Carlson has been one of Fox’s most popular primetime hosts in recent years and his show scheduled for tonight will take place without him.
