Bhattacharya: Government was ‘protecting its own misinformation’
A federal judge limited the government’s ability to supervise social media content, after allegations it had shut down dissent about Covid policy. “The government has the platform, they can say whatever they want,” says Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, one of the plaintiffs. “The question is whether the government can use power and force to tell social media companies who to censor and threaten those companies if they don’t comply.”
