By its very nature, an island setting near a major metropolis brings with it a certain quality of life. A feeling of unity is created when neighborhood borders don’t bleed into one another but are clearly defined by waterways. Island residents can have a strong sense of identity, community and security.
L’Île-Bizard is part of L’Île-Bizard/Sainte-Geneviève borough of Montreal, Quebec. A site of early farming, the peaceful isle is the largest separate island in the area outside of Montreal itself.
